Recognizing The Genius Within

Consider that all human beings have within them the same essence of consciousness, and that the process of creativity and genius are attributes of human consciousness. Therefore, genius is a potential that lives within you and every other human being. Many people never get acquainted with this inner world of their personal genius. I’d like you to consider what may seem like a radical idea: Genius can show up in as many ways as there are Continue Reading

Who Is John of God?

There is an extraordinary gentleman on the planet by the name of John of God. I recently had the most amazing experience with him. I sought his help for a second time for my excruciating neck pain that first arose just before the taping of my newest Public Television special, I Can See Clearly Now.

This healing took place remotely while John of God was at his home base in Brazil and I was in my hotel room in Carlsbad.

My friend Reid Tracy came to visit me just after my “spiritual surgery.” He was astonished to find a large scar on the back of my neck. Two weeks later, the scar was Continue Reading

Stairway to Success

Below is an excerpt from my memoir, I Can See Clearly Now:

It is April 1976, and I’m renting a house on Kime Avenue in West Babylon, New York. I’m continuing with my busy private counseling practice, along with my professional teaching duties at St. John’s University. I am also 100 percent determined that I’ll bring the message of Your Erroneous Zones to the world.

I’ve purchased 2,000 copies, which represents approximately one-third of the entire first printing, directly from the publisher. A few blocks from my home I’ve noticed a radio station’s call letters on the building: WBAB. I have no idea what kind of a format this station broadcasts, so I walk over one Friday afternoon and give the receptionist a copy of Your Erroneous Zones. I tell her Continue Reading

The Real Message in Memoir

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Henry David Thoreau

People are referring to my new book I Can See Clearly Now as a memoir, but actually, as I was writing, I had something quite different in mind. It’s true that the book does visit all the quantum moments and turning points in my life, all the teachers who guided me. My real purpose, though, was not simply to review the past, but to honor the amazing Presence that was by my side every step of the way. And ultimately, I wanted to share with you the ways I found to look at my life in complete appreciation for all of it. I believe you can learn to see clearly, too.

Seeing your own life more clearly involves being acutely aware of anything and everything that creates excitement within your being. If it excites you, the very presence of that inner excitement is all the evidence you need to remind you that you’re aligned with your true essence. When you are following your bliss, you are most Continue Reading

I Can See Clearly Now—The Long-Awaited Memoir from Dr. Wayne Dyer

In this revealing and engaging book, Wayne shares dozens of events from his life, from the time he was a little boy in Detroit up to present day. In unflinching detail, he relates his vivid impressions of encountering many forks in the road, taking readers with him into these formative experiences. Yet then he views the events from his current perspective, noting what lessons he ultimately learned, as well as how he has made the resulting wisdom available to millions via his lifelong dedication to service.

Life Is Worth Living

In the early 1950s, we lived in a small duplex at 20217 Moross Road on the east side of Detroit—me, Mom, my two older brothers, and our new stepfather, Bill. My beloved mother had finally succeeded in getting her family back together under one roof.  And on that roof was a glorious TV antenna that did its best to bring in reception depending on how the winds blew. We were the fortunate owners of a small black-and-white Admiral television set, the first in our neighborhood. Of course, my twelve-year-old self was entranced with this amazing new machine.

Even in those early days, TV programmers were already vying for audiences, and on Tuesday nights at 8:00, most of the country tuned in to watch comedian Milton Berle. Not our family, however. My stepfather insisted that we watch Life Is Worth Living with Bishop Fulton Sheen, formerly the host of The Catholic Hour on night-time radio.  My friends might all be sharing jokes from “Uncle Miltie” the next day, but I became a devoted fan of Bishop Sheen. I watched Life Is Worth Living intently and even took notes! Continue Reading

Resolve to Get Real

Dear Friends,

Forget about those New Year’s resolutions in which you decide on the first day of January how you will be conducting your life in September, some nine months later. Here’s why: any resolution that involves you making decisions about long-range upcoming behavior reinforces the self-defeating notion of living in the future rather than in the present moment. In fact, you can go about resolving until the cows come home, and you still have to live your life just like everyone else on this planet—ONE DAY AT A TIME. The important questions to be asking yourself are “How am I going to use my present moments this year?” and “Will I waste them in reviewing to myself how I used to behave, or how I would like to behave in the future, rather than resolving to live each day to the fullest?

What you can do is set up day-to-day goals for yourself, and then resolve to begin living with present moment awareness for the rest of your life. For example, Continue Reading

PBS Special – Dr. Wayne Dyer: I Can See Clearly Now

In his newest public television special, which will begin airing nationwide in early March 2014, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer employs an intimate conversational format to reveal many of the private challenges behind his public success. He also describes the five key principles for seeing clearly now, which have guided him through all his important life choices, and which are available to you as well. These five principles—willingness, determination, fearlessness, compassion, and love—make up the rungs of a sacred ladder that can bring us all closer to our most sacred self.

Three of Dr. Dyer’s daughters—Saje, Serena, and Skye—as well as musician Alex Woodard contribute stories and song, and the appearance of these very special guests adds extra warmth and humor to the program. The result is a most beautiful and memorable experience, with ideas that you can incorporate immediately into your own life!

“There are no wrong roads taken to anywhere; there are no accidents. As we go along there are course corrections that we can make, and every experience that we have in our life is there to teach us something . . .” — Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Let Us Bring Light

This month you’ll have the opportunity to read a mother’s story that will both break your heart and lift it up with love. Scarlett Lewis’s book Nurturing Healing Love is not a story of rage and revenge as one could well understand in the face of such a horrific experience as the one that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School where Scarlett’s little boy Jesse was senselessly murdered. No, this is truly a love story, a story that clearly sends the message that love itself never ends and that it is our destiny as a people to learn and apply this lesson even in the face of circumstances that are beyond comprehension.

When tragedy strikes, our first human response is to react in anger and with rage in our hearts, to attempt to end such dark behavior by throwing more darkness at the problem. Yet our rational minds tell us Continue Reading

Your Passionate Power

Dear Friends,

Here’s a concept you won’t want to forget: passion always trumps excuses. Keep in mind that when I use the word passion, I’m not referring to the romantic notions that this concept conjures. Instead, I’m equating it to a vigorous kind of enthusiasm that you feel deep within you and that isn’t easy to explain or define. This kind of passion propels you in a direction that seems motivated by a force beyond your control. It’s the inner excitement of being on the right path, doing what feels good to you, and what you know you were meant to do.

It’s my contention that the mere presence of passion within you is all you need to fulfill your dreams. Remember that God is in no need of excuses, ever. The creative Divine Spirit is able to manifest anything it contemplates, and you and I are the results of its contemplating itself into material form. Thus, when we have an emotional reaction that feels like overwhelming passion for what we’re contemplating, we’re experiencing the God within us…and nothing can hold us back. Continue Reading

Sounds I Love

James Twyman, the author of The Moses Code, asked sound-healing expert Jonathan Goldman to research and create tuning forks that encode the holy name of God—and then reproduce these sound frequencies in a meditation program.  Jonathan used a system called gematria (derived from the ancient Kabbalah tradition of assigning specific numbers to words) to find the sounds that correspond to the words—I am that I am. These were the words that God spoke when Moses asked for God’s name in the book of Exodus in the Old Testament. The sounds Jonathan discovered make up the Moses Code frequency meditation that has become the heart of my meditation practice today.

Meditation is a vital practice to access conscious contact with your highest self. When I use the Moses Code frequency meditation, Continue Reading
